Your guest list app is a spreadsheet and a group chat.
It costs nothing and everyone already knows how to use it. It also has no quotas, no record of who added whom, and nothing to fall back on at the door when the signal drops. Here is what changes when the whole team works from one list.
What actually changes at the door.
Nine reasons the door runs on PlusOne.
Works without signal.
When you open the event, the whole list is saved on the door phone. Check-ins keep working in a basement with no signal and go through as soon as it's back.
Every change on record.
Every name added, changed, checked in or refused is recorded with who did it and when. Nobody can switch that off, and removed guests stay in the history. The owner always sees the full picture.
Quotas that hold.
Everyone on the team gets a set number of spots. "John +2" counts as 3. When someone's spots are used up, they ask an admin for more in the app, and that is recorded too.
Fast at the door.
Search finds a name even with a typo. One tap checks someone in, and a big counter sets how many plus-ones came along. Guests who are inside fade and move to the bottom, so you can still find them.
Locked when it counts.
Lock the list when doors open. After that, staff can't add or change names. Admins, organisers and door hosts still can, and every lock and unlock is recorded.
A link for every promoter.
Give each promoter their own sign-up link, with a cap or automatic approval. A leaderboard shows who really brings people in, and every guest stays linked to their promoter all the way to the door.
Several venues, one account.
People can work at several venues with one account. Roles are set per venue, and one person can have more than one. Remove someone from one venue and their access elsewhere stays as it is.
Guest privacy built in.
A name is all you need, everything else is optional. Guest details are anonymised automatically after a period you choose, and the history of who did what stays complete.
Made for the scene.
Dark, fast, and written the way a good door host talks. Your team feels at home in it from the first night.
